Italy wins World Cup
It took extra time and a shootout for Italy to claim the World Cup in Berlin, beating France 5-3 on penalties on Sunday. The Italian victory came after French captain Zinedine Zidane was ejected for head-butting Marco Materazzi in the chest. Without their leader for the shootout, the French only missed once. But Italy, rarely strong in such situations, made all five.
I just knew about the result when I watched the highlights at 5.45 am (after sahur). Quite frustrated since though I'm not a France fan, but France has numbers of Muslim footballers... which symbolize of Islam invasion of mind through this world phenomena...
However.. we cannot forget the other side of the world which fights for their freedom, most important is they are Muslims.. Let's pray for them...
Israel has resumed its aerial assault in northern Gaza, killing a Hamas fighter and wounding three, Hamas and hospital officials said.
After the worst day of clashes in Gaza since it withdrew last summer, the Israeli military said its aircraft fired at four armed Palestinians on Friday.
Nearly 40 Palestinians have been killed since the offensive began last week, the military's chief said.
